ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — OFC Creations Theatre Center is getting ready for its upcoming production of ‘Kinky Boots’!

‘Kinky Boots’ is the big-hearted musical extravaganza that won six Tonys including Best Musical, and the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album. It follows the story of a heterosexual male, Lola who is queer and happens to enjoy expressing their femininity.

Lead actor Nick Bernard, originally from Rochester speaks about the role.

Bernard said”Lola represents for me what we’re really all ultimately fighting for. This world where anybody can just be anyone and do what they want to do without fear of persecution.”
