Fire crews respond to Wadsworth St. for vacant house fire

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire on Wednesday.

According to RFD, just after 3 p.m., crews responded to a house fire on Wadsworth Street and saw heavy smoke coming from a vacant single-story house. Following an investigation, fire crews said they located a fire in the basement and had encountered challenges due to the house being boarded up with holes in the floor of the structure.

RFD said the fire was brought under control by 3:25 p.m. and there were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire was said to be under investigation.
