ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Greece man was sentenced to more than 14 years in prison and ordered to give up hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, jewelry, and a car Thursday for his role in a Rochester drug ring.

Darnell Manning, 40, was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 400 grams or more of fentanyl and five kilograms or more of cocaine. He was also found guilty on a weapons charge for being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.

Manning, who prosecutors said also goes by “D-Man,” was accused of working with others to sell fentanyl and cocaine in Rochester from 2021 to 2023. Police searched multiple locations they said he used to distribute the drugs in March, 2023 and found about 2.6 kilograms of cocaine, 123 grams of crack cocaine, 803 fentanyl tablets, two loaded guns, ammunition, $87,290 in cash, and $246,000 in jewelry.

Manning was arrested in Niagara Falls on March 29, 2023. He was sentenced to 170 months in prison, and also ordered to surrender $91,899 cash, jewelry appraised at $246,000, an SUV, and two guns. He also paid the government $50,000 to avoid losing his home in Greece.
