Man charged with Farragut Street murder, second shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – One man was arrested by Rochester Police after fatal shooting on Farragut Street.

Police charged Kwame Acosta, 34 for shooting and killing Davarcea Fort, 27, during a verbal dispute last Thursday.

Acosta is also accused of shooting a second man in the upper body. That victim survived.

Acosta has been charged with murder in the second degree, assault in the second degree, and menacing in the second degree.

He has been transported to the Monroe County Jail and was arraigned Tuesday morning in Rochester City Court.
