ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Market at I-Square is under new ownership!

The former developers, Mike and Wendy Nolan, announced they sold The Market to Kelly and Aaron Metras, the owners of Salena’s Mexican Restaurant in the Village Gate. The new owners said they are looking to continue the Market’s operations mostly the same, with some new things.

“We look forward to continuing to grow the dream the Nolans had for Irondequoit upon creating I-Square,” Aaron Metras said, with Kelly Metras adding “We plan to work with the Town to create youth programming and community outreach to create a space that meets the needs of the community.”

The Metrases said they aim to create a family-friendly destination focusing on dietary options, such as gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options.

The Nolans first created the I-Square development in 2014. The development consists of the Market, Imaginarium, the Irondequoit Beer Company, Brookside Cottages, and more. They believe the new owners will bring growth to the Market.
