ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Sunday is the big game and people are getting their menu ready. Oran Spitzer visited Palmer’s Direct To You Market for some delicious finds.

Super Bowl Sunday is right around the corner and 200 million people are expected to watch, according to a survey from the National Retail Federation– which means– a lot of food.

Chef Tom Chamot, Executive Chef Palmer’s Direct To You Market said, “Yeah we make a lot of chicken wings and a lot of sliders here…. I’d say, if I had to break it down, I’d say it can only be thousands.”

He tells News 8 he’s a Bill’s fan but says he’s still happy to prepare food for those celebrating.

“You can get your goods in right before the game and have enough time to go home and wish the Bills were there,” said Chamot.

Folks watching the game at home or at a bar are projected to spend over 17 billion dollars for food, drinks, and decorations. But food includes more than just sliders and wings– like appetizers.

Chamot added, “A lot of the things you see at your favorite bars and restaurants are available to you here right in our market. We sell those things right out of the freezers and refrigerators. Our famous one is one that we make ourselves.”

Chef Chamot even shared his secret to the perfect slider to set you up for success.

“The secret to the perfect slider is to cook it quickly and flip it only once. Use a hot grill or a hot griddle but remember only flip it once,” continued Chamot.

Palmer’s is open pretty much until kickoff so you can get these and have your sliders and wings ready.
