ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A New York State Supreme Court Judge sentenced Parolee Lequan Hill to 25 years to life on Wednesday.

According to the Monroe County District Attorney’s office, on November 3, 2022, just before 7 p.m., Rochester police were called to Frost Avenue for the reports of a man stabbed. Police said they found the victim, 42-year-old Antoine Parris, who was transported to Strong Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Following an investigation, the Rochester Police Department and New York State Division of Parole identified 31-year-old Lequan Hill as a suspect. Hill had been released from custody early on a parole violation and was said to have been in an argument with his father while walking past Parris’s house on Frost Ave. Police said Parris tried to intervene when Hill stabbed him.

Hill was previously convicted by a jury of murder in the second degree.
