Rochester Clean Sweep set for May 4

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The City of Rochester is teaming up with the Red Wings for the annual Clean Sweep.

The 18th annual event is penciled in for May 4.

Community members will come together to clean up Rochester by removing litter and debris from city neighborhoods. Participants will also plant flowers, and prune trees. City crews will remove graffiti, repair sidewalks and fill potholes.

Those who participate will receive a free breakfast and shirt at the start of the day and finish off with a free lunch and tickets to the Red Wings game that evening. Officials encourage those who want to participate to register online.
