Rochester Police Department investigating N. Clinton Avenue shooting, potential victim

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) —The Rochester Police Department is investigating reports of gunfire and a man in Strong Hospital with a gunshot wound on Saturday.

According to RPD, just before 6 p.m., officers responded to North Clinton Avenue and Mead Streat for the report of shots fired. Officers found evidence of gunfire in front of an address on N. Clinton Ave. 

Officers said a short time later, a 33-year-old Rochester man arrived in a private vehicle at Strong Hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his lower body.  No other injuries have been reported.

RPD said that officers are investigating to see if these two incidents are related and said no one is in custody at this time.
