FAIRPORT, N.Y. (WROC) — Following Fairport Village and developer Donahoe Management receiving $1 million from the state in the spring, the formerly vacant cannery building on 75 N. Main in Fairport is seeing good progress.

Three of the four tenants in the 43,000 sq. ft. facility are open. Preservation Beer Company opened in November, as did Sew Creative. Fairport Pickleball Club is now operating there as well.

According to the village, the building had been vacant for over 10 years.

“It’s highly successful, people are there 24/7 in that area, and so it’s going well, and we’re so glad to see the economic vitality as a positive attribute in that area,” said Bryan White, village manager of Fairport Monday.

The only unoccupied part of the development is the corner space. White says it’s still slated to be a restaurant/bar.
