ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A popular flea market in Rochester will have a new summer home in June: The Lucky Flea. Their first event in “The Grove” will be June 2.

The market was held outdoors in the warmer months at Village Gate. Radio Social is and will continue to be the market’s home during the winter.

The Lucky Flea is known for its variety of vendors from vintage clothiers to knickknacks dealers and more. Food trucks were also a staple at outdoor events. Co-founder Chris Rapoza said it’s a home for many good things that would otherwise go in the dumpster.

Their new location, The Grove, is the alley with Branca and Unwine’d, on East Broad that connects Innovation Square and Parcel 5.

“One of the biggest things about the Flea is it’s about small business, shopping, making sure people have a great time, but it’s about the community,” Rapoza said Tuesday. “We want people to be able to enjoy this beautiful space in parcel 5 across the street, to enjoy rochester… Sundays in downtown rochester aren’t the most riveting, so we want to give people something to do down here.”

As for parking, Rapoza says plenty of free spots should be available, and the underground Midtown Parking Garage will exit right outside the market.

If you want to be a vendor, they say the best way to get ahold of them is through Instagram.

The next Lucky Flea at Radio Social will be Sunday, April 7, and will run through April 28; except for April 21.
