ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The annual Tour de Cure is returning this year, but will have a change of scenery!

This year’s event, organized by the American Diabetes Association, will be held at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua. Cyclists can expect to ride through different routes in the Finger Lakes region.

Dates and events announced for 2024 Rochester Lilac Festival!

Every year, the ride brings cyclists from all over Upstate New York to raise funds for diabetes research. This year, organizers say participants should focus on three things — committing to participating, continuing to fundraise, and celebrating the journey.

“We’re excited to host the ADA Tour de Cure Finger Lakes region at FLCC this year,” said Executive Director Jeff Collins. “We’re expecting hundreds of cyclists that day and know that they will enjoy riding through the beautiful routes we have planned for them.”

The ride is scheduled to begin on Saturday, June 8 at 7 a.m. Cyclists can register to participate in the ride by clicking here.
