ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – Cold air pours over the region today and temperatures are stuck in the 30s.

Several rounds of snow are expected through the weekend. The first will come at some point early Saturday morning as a boundary extends through the Great Lakes and into a large low across the Mid-Atlantic. Temperatures will be plenty cold to warrant accumulating snow, and 1-2″ will be possible through Saturday morning. This boundary continues to pester Western New York, bringing light (no significant accumulation) snow through Sunday. A secondary storm moves north of Lake Ontario, but it could bring another 1-2″. This time our temperatures are warmer, so a wetter snow would be more likely.

This system is gone by Monday and skies clear out into Tuesday. We get a warming trend with better chances for rain by the end of next week.
