ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – Rain is ending this morning and the clouds hold on as low pressure exits stage right. A major spike in temperatures around the Finger Lakes will happen at noon as numbers get into the 50s. They soon fade back into the 30s and join everyone else north of the thruway.

We finally get some dry air Friday night into Saturday morning. The weekend starts dry under cloudy skies with temperatures holding a bit closer to average, in the middle 30s. Our next system is taking a familiar path to storms over the past seven days, from Texas to Ohio  and east into New England.

We are still expecting a grazing hit by this with fringe temperatures. That means a chance for some rain and snow with temperatures right around 32°. Accumulating snow will be possible for some in the Finger Lakes, but it will be a slushy snow.

High pressure moves in Monday and just maybe we get a bit of sun. Whatever comes out will quickly be gone as our next weak system arrives Tuesday that could bring some minor snow.
