ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) – We are in a brief period of dry air now ahead of a round of rain and snow showers this afternoon that pivots in from the north.

Air temperature dips again toward freezing overnight into Friday, and this looks to be our window for accumulation. It will all be on grass as the ground will just hold above 32°. Some bridges and overpasses may get a quick glaze and if the precipitation rate is high enough, maybe a few driveways and back roads could catch on a trace to an inch. Otherwise, it snows throughout Friday with numbers in the 30s. The storm finally begins to pull out Saturday and we see a bump in temperatures, into the middle 40s by the afternoon.

High pressure pushes in from the north by Sunday and we get into the 50s. Eclipse day Monday looks great for a comfortable afternoon ad we start in the 30s and get well into the 50s. The question that still remains is cloud coverage. We expect a mixed bag here, so we need to get closer to the event to get a better idea of how this will shake out. Another system approaches by the middle of next week and we are mild, air temperature getting well into the 60s.

It was a big day today for Craft Cannery and its founder Pauly Guglielmo. They broke ground on an expansion of their plant in Bergen where they […]
