ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Monday into Tuesday will be sunny but a few degrees cooler than Sunday, as currents in the atmosphere above our heads churn and change direction. Not much is lost here as we still remain dry and under the influence of high pressure.

Wednesday and Thursday, clouds make a slow and gentle return over these 48 hours gradually growing in coverage. Thursday will technically be considered as “Mostly Cloudy”, but clouds should be high up, cirrus type clouds that should still let a lot of sun in. We’ll climb through the 40s both days as well with Thursday in the upper 40s.

From Friday on, more unsettled weather is trending more likely. With highs still climbing at this point it will be mostly rain. Friday should be the peak of our warmth breaking 50 for most, then a slow decline back through the 40s and eventually the 30s. There are signs that as we track back down, that the stormier weather should last and we might see some frozen precipitation return.
